Rieder Group
Rieder Group was founded in 1958 by Hans Rieder together with three other partners and today employs more than 330 people. The medium-sized enterprise with an annual turnover of over 49 mio. euros is 100% family-owned. The production programme comprises products for railway engineering, pre-fabricated elements, traffic safety equipment, retaining walls for landscaping and noise protection walls.
The Rieder Group is a leading European provider for noise absorption and traffic safety equipment and architectural concrete, mainly owing its practice-oriented research and ongoing innovation. The latest highlights are the first curved-noise absorption walls with SSI (Sound Screen Improver) attechements.
50 years of experience in concrete
Rieder has manufactured pre-fabricated components for structural and civil engineering, road construction and landscaping for almonst 50 years. When Wolgang Rieder - a member of the owner family´s second generation - joined the company in 2003, he provided new impetus to his parents´ business. With glassfibre concrete he introduced an entirely new product line and added a revolutionary material to the company´s existing range of products. The first concrete panels reinforced with glassfibres were produced in the company headquarters in Maishofen until a factory in Kolbermoor - Germany - was acquired in 2004 and converted to the production of the fibreC. In the same year Rieder was founded as independent susidiary of Rieder Group.
