In a concrete sandwich facade, the bearing wall, the thermal insulation and the weather-protective facing are assembled as one element using an economical anchor system, and are delivered as one unit to the construction site.
Advantages of the R-Wall
Since the exterior element hangs from the interior element, it can be kept at a very slender width, generally 7 cm.
Due to the physical properties of concrete, the interior wall can also be kept at a slender width. Where brickwork of 20 cm. would normally be used, a spreadable interior wall with a thickness of 12-14 cm. is sufficient.
The overall result is a durable wall construction with two concrete shells. Its total thickness is less than the thickness of a correspondingly insulated brick wall with outer insulation and plastering.
